Published Works in English

Greetings :As you see below, I have a few articles published in English, particularly after I entered the world of phenomenology and phenomenological psychology in 1974. I have also a couple of unpublished articles, including the drafts in printed form distributed  to the participants at conferences. Now, considering the situation I am in with my age (1934-), I realize that, unless i upload them in this homepage of mine, most of these articles and drafts will remain entirely unknown to anybody in the world, which I would feel personally as regrettable. Thus, I have decided to publish some of them here, either published or unpublished, so that somebody in this global world may be interested in them and might profit by getting the opportunity to read them. And I would appreciate if the reader might let me know how s/he gets stimulated in some way or other, by reading any of the articles posted here.  I would be happy and be delighted to receive her/his comments as a reader.  

Some of published works will not be immediately available here, because of the copyright problems. In such cases, I would attempt to provide the information regarding the availability of  the works via amazon or elsewhere.

 Let me express my thanks to you for your attention.

2000 A Phenomenological Explication of the Lived Worlds of Application System Engineers: a tiny attempt
The uploading here has been made possible by the permission of the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Kawamura Gakuen Woman's University. The author interviewed Elite Application System Engineers (EASEs to investigate their lived worlds for the purpose of selecting and educating the future Application System Engineers. The results were affirmed by the EASEs themselves, with positive and favorable comments, to the delight of the researcher/author..

1992 YOSHIDA On the Impossibility of the Perfectly Empirical and Practical Theory of Teaching.
The uploading here of this paper was made possible by the permission by the Editorial Committee of the Bulletin of the Faculty of Education of the University of Tokyo. The point of the paper is clear and simple: practice and theory improve themselves by influencing and being influenced between themselves, thus the improvements on both sides never reach their completion and perfection. If the claim is made that either has been perfected, the claim is destined to be in contradiction. The logic is considered in terms of teaching practice and theory, but it will apply elsewhere in the fields where theories claims their contribution to the improvements of practices. 1989 S.L.Rubinstein and Phenomenology A Japanese Perspective
This article is the draft distributed at the 1989 Aarhus IHSRC. The draft contains many defects, including misspellings and inadequate expression, perhaps, because of the circumstances under which the draft was written. However, now in 2014, the author believes there is still a meaning to include this in this homepage. It may inspire somebody somewhere to study either one of the two, Rubinstein or Phenomenology, with which s/he is unfamiliar. The fact that it was reported in 1989 by a Japanese may still have some significance, too. I do hope that someday, Rubinstein's major works will be translated into English by somebody, hopefully an expert psychologist, proficient in both English and Russian..Or, a translation via German translation "Grundlagen der allgemeinen Psychologie" Volk und Wissen, might serve the purpose.

This is a copy of the original draft that was distributed for an oral presentation at the XXIV International Congress of Psychology, The article was published with the same title in "Human Studies: A Journal for Philosophy and the Social Sciences" Vol. 15.No.1, January 1992, 35-46. The copy of the journal article cannot be uploaded here, because of the copyright limitation.
